Terms

The agreement between you and us when you order a card.

What we sell

You upload a photo, optionally change it with an AI filter, write a message and give us an address. We print the result as an A6 postcard on 350 gram card and hand it to the postal service. Every card is made for your order alone.

Prices and payment

The price shown includes VAT and postage, and it is the price per card. Sending one card to several people costs that price for each of them. Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe. Your order is confirmed when the payment succeeds, and we email you a receipt.

Delivery

We hand a card to the postal service within one working day of payment, or on the date you chose if you scheduled it. Typical delivery is two to four working days inside the Netherlands, four to eight elsewhere in the EU, and seven to fourteen further afield. Those are the postal service's timings, not a guarantee.

If a card never arrives, tell us. We will print and post a replacement once, at no charge, provided the address you gave was correct.

No right of withdrawal

A card carrying your photo and your message is made to your specification, so the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This is the exception in Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. You accept this when you pay.

That does not take away your rights if we get it wrong. If a card arrives damaged, misprinted or different from what you ordered, contact us and we will reprint it or refund you.

Cancelling before we print

A card you scheduled for a future date has not been printed yet. Ask us before that date and we will cancel it and refund you in full.

What you may not send

We may refuse any order that breaks these rules and refund it, and our printing partner may refuse it independently. Repeated abuse means we stop serving you.

  • Photographs of other people used without their agreement.
  • Images you do not hold the rights to.
  • Sexual content, content involving children in any sexual context, or images made to harass or threaten somebody.
  • Content that is unlawful, or that incites hatred or violence.

Pictures changed with AI

When you apply a filter, the picture is altered by an AI model. We say so on the page where you approve the card and in your order confirmation, and we keep a record of which cards were made that way.

You decide who receives the card, so telling them the picture is not a real photograph is your call. Do not use a filtered picture to make somebody believe something untrue about a real person, and do not apply a filter to a photograph of someone who has not agreed to it.

Your photo stays yours

You keep every right in the photo you upload. By ordering, you give us only the permission we need to do the job: to store the image, to apply the filter you asked for, and to give the finished artwork to the printer. We do not use your photos to advertise, and we do not use them to train anything.

When things go wrong

We are liable for what we promised: a card, printed as previewed, posted to the address you gave. Where the law allows us to limit it, our liability for anything else is capped at what you paid for the order in question. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or our own intent or gross negligence.

Complaints and disputes

Email us first; we answer complaints within fourteen days. If that gets nowhere, a consumer in the EU can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Dutch law applies, and the Dutch courts have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
